Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Launches “SALT: The Official Movie Game” App on the App Store

 
CULVER CITY, CALIF. (December 13, 2010) – Sony Pictures Home Entertainment today announced its SALT: The Official Movie Game App for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is now available on the App Store. Based on the international box office hit SALT, starring Angelina Jolie, the game challenges players to avoid capture by rival agents. Gamers play a CIA agent like Evelyn Salt, racing against time to prove their innocence through three exciting levels of game play utilizing hand-to-hand fighting and long range gun attacks.
 
Throughout the game, there are five opportunities for fans to unlock Game Center achievements and share the unlocked badges with friends on Facebook. Players can also see how they rank among other competitors through the app’s global leaderboard.  
 
The SALT: The Official Movie Game App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, or at www.itunes.com/appstore.

The Deluxe Unrated Edition Blu-ray™ and DVD, debuting on December 21 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, will include three versions of the film including the original theatrical film plus two additional unrated extended cuts not seen in theaters with two alternate endings.  
 
A Theatrical Edition DVD will also be available. Extensive bonus materials include filmmaker commentary and multiple featurettes that take viewers behind-the-scenes on the adrenaline-pumping thrill ride of the year. SALT will be available on Deluxe Unrated Edition Blu-ray™ for $34.95 SRP, Deluxe Unrated Edition DVD for $28.96 SRP and Theatrical Edition DVD for $28.96 SRP.

Synopsis:
Evelyn Salt, a trusted and loyal CIA operative, goes on the run when a Russian defector convinces her superiors that she’s a double agent sent to assassinate the President of United States.  As the intense manhunt heats up, Salt uses all her skills as a covert operative to elude capture and uncovers a secret so powerful it could change the course of world history.  Angelina Jolie stars in this  action-packed  thriller that will keep you guessing until the end.
 
Directed by Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games), SALT also stars Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (2012, Talk to Me) and was written by Kurt Wimmer. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Sunil Perkash produced, with Ric Kidney and Mark Vahradian serving as executive producers.
